Heavy truck training is essential to develop competent and safe drivers, enabling them to acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to drive a truck safely, learn driving techniques to optimize performance, understand traffic rules and road safety standards, and know how to perform preventive checks and basic vehicle maintenance.

Training presentation

Participants learn the specific road safety rules for heavy trucks, as well as good driving, loading and unloading practices. The training also covers the technical aspects of the heavy truck, such as preventive maintenance, regular inspections and emergency procedures in the event of a breakdown. Participants also learn how to handle emergency situations on the road and follow safety rules to avoid accidents.

Course duration: a) As needed (4 hours minimum) if experience and truck driving license. b) 30 hours cl2, cl3 c) 80 hours and more cl1 (all semi-trailer trucks).

Practical case and evaluation

Driving on the road – Assessment of acquired skills.

Permit

Pass the license to the SAAQ if necessary.
